Age of Consent

The age at which a person may legally consent to sexual relations. Sex with someone below the age of consent is statutory rape. There may be more than one age of consent in your region. Read more about age of consent around the world on Wikipedia.

Anorgasmia / Inorgasmia

Inability to reach orgasm, or orgasm delayed by 30 minutes or more.

Blue Balls / Vasocongestion

A condition causing discomfort in the male pelvic area due to sexual arousal going unrelieved by ejaculation. The ordinary cure is to masturbate. If not relieved by ejaculation, the congestion will go away within a few hours.

Bulbourethreal fluid

Also called Cowper's fluid (after the gland that produces it) or pre-cum, this clear fluid is released during sexual arousal and serves to neutralize traces of urine that may remain in the urethra.

Circumcision

Surgical removal of the foreskin. When done on children it is considered a form of child abuse.

Climax

A semi-archaic word referring to the peak of a female's sexual arousal. Before Masters and Johnson established in the 1970s that women have orgasms very similar to men, the word orgasm was used exclusively to describe male sexual response.

Clitoris

The primary female sex organ and the only human organ whose only function is sexual.

Cowper's fluid

Cunnilingus

Dental dam

A sheet of latex used to protect against sexually transmitted diseases during cunnilingus. They are so called because of their use in dental practice to keep fluids from the mouth from contaminating the tooth being repaired.

Dildo

A penis-shaped object used by many women to masturbate.

Ejaculation

The expulsion of semen through the penis, generally at the point of orgasm. It is separate from orgams. You can have orgasms without ejaculations, like during wet foreplay. It depends how skillful you can use your PC muscle. Some men can also ejaculate more than once in a few minutes.

Erectile dysfunction
Inability of a man to get an erect penis in a timely manner with proper stimulation. If a man is completely unable to erect, it is called impotence. Often it is just psychological, like stress. With much tender loving care and warm water you may get it up.

Erection

The penis swells and rises up as a result of erotic stimulation, either through touch, or seeing someone attractive, maybe in wet clothes. This begins to feel good with anticipation of more intense fun. As you get more excited your balls will rise up close and your penis gets harder, known as a "hard-on".

Fapping

To jack off or masturbate. "Man, I was fapping last night and totally jizzed all over my hands."

Fellatio

Fetish

An accessory you need to reach orgasm. Without a fetish it won't work. For some this may be wet clothing. For others wet clothes are just a nice stimulant.

Foreplay

Sexual activity, such as manual manipulation of the genitals, leading up to intercourse. When the same activity is done not as a prelude to intercourse, it's called petting. This is great fun with your friend(s) in a pool or lake, dressed in soft, loose fitting clothes.

Foreskin

The hood of the penis. In uncircumcised men, it covers most of the head of the penis when the penis is not erect. In circumcised men, what remains of the foreskin is collapsed around the bottom of the head. See also: Circumcision.

Friends with Benefits

These are friends with whom you are sexually open and enjoy intimate contact. You share your bath, bed, pleasure, orgasms and ejaculations. These beautiful and accepting relationships are also called "skinships".

Frottage

Sexual rubbing, form of non-penetrative sex. "Dry Humping" or any non-penetration body grinding done with or without clothes in public or in private. Works great in soft nylon clothes, like anoraks or ponchos, as the nylon on nylon slides very well.

Frot

Frot (slang for frottage; ult. from the French verb frotter, "to rub") is a non-penetrative form of male-on-male sexual activity that usually involves direct penis-to-penis contact. The term was popularized by gay male activists who disparaged the practice of anal sex, but has since evolved to encompass a variety of preferences, including wet clothes. Owing to its non-penetrative character, Frot has the safe sex advantage of minimizing the transmission risk for HIV/AIDS.

Gender Fluid / Gender Queer
A gender identity which refers to a gender that varies over time. A Gender Fluid person may at any time identify as male, female, neutrois, or any other non-binary identity, or some combination of identities. Being Gender Fluid has nothing to do with which set of genitalia one has, nor their sexual orientation.

Gender Fluid is a gender identity best described as a dynamic mix of boy and girl. A person who is Gender Fluid may always feel like a mix of the two traditional genders, but may feel more boy some days, and more girl other days.

"No, I'm not a boy, and I'm not a girl either. I am gender fluid."

This is often expressed in a more creative dress sense, like skirts for men or long capes with room to play.

Impotence

Kegel Exercises

Exercises practiced to strengthen the Pubococcygeus (PC) muscle. Many sexual health practitioners recommend Kegel exercises to strengthen it, whereby you tighten the muscle, hold for 10-15 seconds, release, and repeat.

Libido

The sex drive, and especially the energy it creates.

Manual Intercourse

Stimulation of the genitals of one person by the hands of another person. This safe activity often happens during sleep-overs where you share bath and bed.

Masturbation

Stimulation of ones's own genitals for the purpose of advancing sexual arousal. Most people masturbate until they have an orgasm.

Men who have Sex with Men (MSM)
also known as males who have sex with males, are men who engage in sexual activity with other men, regardless of how they identify themselves; many do not sexually identify as gay, homosexual or bisexual.

Multiple Orgasms for Men

When a man has an orgasm but does not ejaculate or lose his erection and keeps having intercourse or masturbating until he has one or more additional orgasms and finally ejaculates.

Mutual Masturbation

Two or more people masturbating together, touching only their own genitals. If they are touching each other's genitals, it is manual intercourse.

Nocturnal Emission

An orgasm with ejaculation that happens to a man while he is sleeping. Usually called a wet dream. It is nature's way for clearing out stale semen and keeping your parts healthy. Can be avoided by sex or masturbation before going to sleep.

Oral Sex

Sexual intercourse consisting of contact between the mouth of one person and the genitals of another. When oral sex is enjoyed on a man, it is called fellatio. When oral sex is done on a woman, it is called cunnilingus.

Orgasm

The peak of sexual arousal, resulting in a series of muscular contractions in both men and women, and often leads to ejaculation in men. When a man has masturbated or engaged in intercourse for a period of time, he has a sudden rush of sexual feeling, usually followed by a burst of fluid. This is his orgasm with ejaculatipon, called "coming" or "cumming". See also: Sexual Response.

Paraphilia

Sexual arousal in response to unusual stimuli, such as wet clothes, showers, or watching someone brush their teeth.

Petting

Point of ejaculatory inevitability

The moment during sexual stimulation when a man will proceed to ejaculate even if the stimulation stops altogether. This point is sometimes apparent to men who are discovered masturbating and stop, but ejaculate anyway.

Pornography

Consider these two definitions from different dictionaries:
    • "Sexually explicit pictures, writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal." (American Heritage Dictionary, 4th edition.)
    • "Material (as books or a photograph) that depicts erotic behavior and is intended to cause sexual excitement." (Merriam-Webster New Collegiate Dictionary, 10th edition.)

Prostate Fluid

One of the principal components of semen, it gives semen its distinctive smell and color.

Pubococcygeus (PC) Muscle

A key muscle located in the pelvic region that controls sexual function in both men and women. It is the muscle you tighten when you stop the flow of pee.

Refractory Period

The time after ejaculating during which a man is unable to have an erection. In teenagers, this period might be a minute or two. In your 20s, it is more typically 20-30 minutes. In your 80s, the refractory period might last days. It also depends how good your nutrition and hydration is.

Semen

The white fluid a man ejaculates as a result of masturbation or sexual intercourse. It is principally comprised of seminal fluid, sperm, prostate fluid, and bulbourethral fluid.

Sex flush

Flushing of the skin of the head and upper body after orgasm. Generally goes away within a few minutes.

Sexual intercourse

Any sexual act involving the genitals of one person and the genitals, mouth, or anus of another person. Some people use a narrower definition encompassing only the act of inserting a penis into a vagina or anus. Avoid anal intercourse for safer sex.

Sexual response

There are four stages of sexual response: arousal, plateau, orgasm, and resolution. The arousal stage lasts the longest. In men, it starts with the erection. Plateau is the feeling that one will orgasm and/or ejaculate if stimulation continues. It lasts anywhere from seconds to one minute. Orgasm only lasts for about eight seconds. Resolution is the period from when the orgasm ends until the body returns to equilibrium, which is the state of not being aroused.

Sperm

The male reproductive cell. About 350 million are included in every ejaculation. The fluid that carries sperm is called semen.

Statutory rape

Sexual relations with a person who is not old enough to consent. It can be a crime even if the person tells you they are of legal age. See also: Age of consent.

Supine
Face-up position during erotic play, while swimming on your back, or relaxing in your bath. See also: prone

Vagina

The female organ of copulation. The vagina is an internal organ which cannot be seen on the outside. A female's visible private parts should be called the vulva.

Vasocongestion

A condition causing discomfort in the male pelvic area due to sexual arousal going unrelieved by ejaculation. The best cure is to masturbate. If not relieved by ejaculation, the congestion will go away within a few hours.

Vibrator
